Cristy's Story
No gimmicks, just high quality care.
My name is Cristy Martel, owner of The Four Paws Inn. In 2013 I made the life-changing decision to leave my Boston job and purchase The Four Paws Inn with my wife Danyelle.
Our inspiration for the jump came from our dog Stanley, a lively Weimaraner who loved attending doggie daycare. Witnessing Stanley's joy sparked our dream to create a place where other dogs could experience similar happiness, and where we could enjoy a fulfilling life in the NH woods.
Through dedication, a strong work ethic, and genuine love for dogs, we have gradually grown The Four Paws Inn into two thriving locations and even launched our signature dog bus service. Our journey has been incredibly rewarding, and we are grateful for the opportunity to enrich the lives of so many dogs and their owners.
One of my greatest joys is knowing that Four Paws Inn offers a fun and safe environment for dogs to play, as well as a reliable place for families during trips or emergencies. It is truly heartwarming to see new dogs—especially those who have never socialized—gradually learn from other dogs and discover friends they enjoy playing with. These moments reaffirm our commitment and make all the hard work worthwhile.

We’re not about fancy suites or TVs. We’re about dogs being dogs—running, wrestling, splashing in kiddie pools, or soaking up the sun. Whether it’s a snowy romp or a sunny lounge, we make sure every dog goes home happy (and tired!).
